Building LEGNER has forced me to sit with that impulse and often resist it.
Restraint has become a conscious choice for me. Not because I lack ambition, but because I care deeply about precision. I’ve learned that materials speak more honestly when they are not overexplained, and that form reveals itself best when it is given time.
NANNA was developed slowly, through small decisions and quiet revisions. I paid close attention to proportion, weight, and how it feels to live with something, not just how it looks at first glance.
I am not interested in creating pieces that ask to be noticed immediately. I am interested in creating pieces that settle into someone’s life and become part of it, almost without effort.
LEGNER is being built step by step. Thoughtfully, deliberately, and with respect for the materials, the process, and the people who will eventually carry what I make.
