After the beginning and all the excitement that comes with it, a new stage arrives.
The one that very few people really post about.
The stage where progress seems to slow down.
Where you occasionally wonder if everyone else is secretly moving faster or if they’re just better at making it look that way.
I don’t know, just trying to figure out what actually matters at this stage and how to stay more or less normal, if you know what I mean.
Anyone who has built something from scratch will probably recognise it. Still, I’ll say it out loud: this phase can be surprisingly demanding. Not because something is wrong, but because the work becomes less visible…
There’s less movement on the surface, and a lot is happening underneath.
Fewer moments that feel like clear wins, and more that feel like quiet effort.
Sometimes, it seems like nothing is happening at all.
Other days, it feels like everything is happening at once, just not the things you can measure, post, or neatly explain.
And then there are days when you realise you’ve spent hours on details no one will ever notice, except you.
But I have to say, this stage also gives me space.
Space to focus more closely. To adjust, rethink, and refine.
To make decisions without rushing them or pretending they’re more exciting than they are.
I’ve started to see this phase not as a slowdown, but as a reality check.
Less momentum. More consistency. Less noise. More actual work.
It’s not the part people applaud.
But it’s the part where things either get clearer or quietly fall apart.
This is where I am right now.
In the middle of it. Doing the unglamorous part.
It’s about navigating uncertainty, working on relationships, searching for opportunities, and trusting that progress doesn’t always follow a clear or linear path.
